I am pleased to present my second contribution to model airports Terminal C at Claremont International Airport also known as KCIA. It is loosely based upon PHX and its "dark line" tarmac and the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX. In general, I created separate boarding areas for each gate but with suspended glass walkways between them as opposed to the solid structure connecting the gates at LAX. The buildings and tarmac were created using Microsoft Word and printed on card stock. The jetways were printed from a free download from Airport Diorama Designs - Your source for 1:400 and 1:500 Model Airport Foils.
Claremont is a small community east of Los Angeles, just a few miles from Ontario International Airport. It has long been hoped that ONT would provide an additional arrival/departure point for the greater Los Angeles area, but that has never really come to fruition on a large scale. This fantasy airport is based upon the idea that the Inland Empire has finally begun to meet that calling. Although domestic carriers operate at CIA, Terminal C caters specifically to international carriers. NOW, JUST BECAUSE ITS CALLSIGN IS CIA AND IT SERVES ONLY INTERNATIONAL CARRIERS, DO NOT BE GETTING ANY STRANGE IDEAS!
First, the terminals and tarmac awaiting assembly:

And now, the buildings, with Gates C2-C10. Eventually, the odd numbered gates will be added to the other side.

The first arrivals, minus the GSE. C4 is still waiting for its jetway to be installed.

Now that C4 has its jetway, a KLM A333 arrives from Amsterdam.

Air New Zealand's All-Blacks is the first visitor to C2 following its arrival from Auckland.

The next two photos show an AeroMexico 777, first at C2, then at C6, giving a good view of the suspended walkways connecting the boarding areas.

Oman Air made CIA her first US destination and is preparing for departure to Muscat. Meanwhile, the beautiful livery of a Hainan 787 pushes back for Beijing.

The weekly flight to Rarotonga has upgraded to a 772 and now departs from CIA instead of LAX.
