Hello!
I have been working on my own small diorama airport of 1/500 scale for almost a year.
It will be fictitious European airport being designed as a mix of elements from AMS, LHR, MUC, BRU and some others.
The construction is still not started but I have designed a lot of graphics.
All buildings elevations and apron/taxiway/runway foils are being prepared to be easily printed on A4 paper sheets.
They are designed with simple graphics program but using real materials (concrete/asphalt/glass) textures.
I have printed and glued the prototype runway with parallel taxiway onto a plywood and in my opinion the effect is quite not bad :) Fitting the parts of apron is more complicated...
I hope that I will gradually publish already completed JPGs here and send free PDF versions for everyone who will be interested.
But it takes ages to prepare such foils, and fit them all to each other (and I'm a very busy man ;) ), so I think I will not finish the complete set before summer vacations. :(
Some examples of several building elevations will be shown here later. They are even more troublesome to design...
Here are only some examples of >20 foils being in different stages of development.
There are just "appetizers", I'm simply curious of your opinion...
regards
Michal
