I recently started collecting models in 1:500 (previously I had come 1:600 Schabak models with decals).
On 2 of the models from Herpa, bought on different shops, I came across a strange problem: the models had some kind of oil liquid on the wings and part of the fuselage...
The oil seemed to be/come from the plastic film that covers the models. There was also some oil on the top cover of the box.
The models were the 747 "Air Force One" and the Aeroflot Il-96
Apart from this the models were ok.
Initially I though it was a problem from the store, but both models from different stores had this problem.
I notified Herpa and await a reply.
Did anyone one else have this problem?
