Ciao to all. This thread is a tribute to British Airways (callsign Speedbird) and to all the members and friends loving this airline. For many years i "fought a personal battle" against Herpa desperately trying to convince them to realize the most wanted A320! Finally Herpa decided to produce it, and then many other BA models were produced. I like to think that Herpa decided to produce the British Airways A320 because i started a polling thread about it, but also because i sent them many letters, many mails and Herpa team finally said
"Oh God, Alessandro is a nagging pain in the a.., we produce this model so finally he will not bother us more!":lol::lol:
Of course i know that Herpa produced the A320 because it was planned years above, but i must say that the great majority of the collectors of this Forum really wanted a British Airways A320 (Union Jack tail) in 1:500 scale.
Now i should do the same thing with the B737-400, but sadly Herpa will no more produce the B737 classic...
Now our British Airways fleet is almost complete and i'm really happy because, even if i'm Italian, i love British Airways, as i love Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Delta, Etihad and all the airlines flying all around the world.
So...enjoy, and a great thanks and ciao to all the fellow members and dear friends of Wings900 forum and all those loving this wonderful airline.
