Hey guys,
Just quickly for everyone who is following my other thread, Chloe is doing very well. She's feeling well enough to cause mischief, and caused enough mischief today to make her mother threaten to ground her. Sounds like the old Chloe :)
I just wanted to ask everyone's opinions. I have about 10 models, and so far they are all models of airlines that have flown/fly into Perth. But I always see airlines that I love liveries of that don't fly to Perth, and I originally said I would only collect Perth bound airlines.
I know the obvious answer is to just do what I want, but I know if I buy the airlines I see that I like, I'll end up with this HUGE collection.
So what I'm asking is, what criteria does everyone keep for their collection? Certain airline/manufacturer (both of real planes (such as Boeing, Airbus) and of diecast (Herpa, Gemini))/airport bound? Or do you just buy whatever models you take a liking to?
Just trying to get some opinions to help me decide where to go from here.
By the way, here is my current set of aircraft models, maybe someone would be able to give me some suggestions of models to add?
All 1:400 except for first listing, three random models
- 3 random models - Fit the Box "London 2012" Concorde; 1:500 Lufthansa with broken wheel; Air Asia A320, no scale, purchased by my grandad, so it is sentimental:D
- JC Wings Jetstar Valuair A320-200
- Dragon Wings Qantas 747-400 "Socceroos"
- Phoenix Ansett 747-400 "Sydney 2000"
- Phoenix Singapore Airlines A380-800
- Gemini Jets Emirates Airbus A340-500
- JC Wings I think, the logo isn't on the box so I cannot be totally sure Virgin Australia A330-200
- JC Wings Again not totally sure for the above reasons Air New Zealand Boeing 777-300ER "All Blacks"
The last two both bear the same warnings in the same languages as the Jetstar box, so I assumed they were the same brand.
This may seem like a strange post, but just wanting some opinions. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :D
