Comparison: VC-10 vs Il-62.

This thread could be called "Who copied who", because it is a 1:500 comparison between two strange but marvellous models/airplanes: the VC-10 vs the Il-62. The VC-10's first flight was in 1962 while the Il-62 took flight for the first time a year later, 1963. Like many civil and military airplanes during the Cold War, it seems that Vickers and Ilyushin produced an airplane starting from the same project. The VC-10 is a wonderful example of how the British aeronautical engineering has been able to build great airplanes.
The two airplanes are very similar, and also the 1:500 models are two of the best ever realized. In my opinion both moulds are almost perfect.
