This my new thread to present you some charter flights on my vintage airport.
- A Douglas DC-4 without titles and logo: it's an Herpa's "ex" South African Airways model. At real when I was child in 1962-1963 I remember well old piston engine liners leased by little airlines for very short periods for charter flights. Probably these planes were leased. Observing removed fuselage alrline titles I remember they were removed badly and quickly. Consequence: on my SAA DC-4 I removed tiles and tail logo quickly with a little cutter;
- a DAN AIR's Comet 4 (HerpaWings) pictured in the ramp during a charter flight from London with old passenger terminal in the background;
- a British United's "Carvair" (produced by BBBox) with GSE all around;
- an LTU's DC-4 flying a charter from Germany to Italy: this is a limited Herpa edition sold together an LTU's F.27 (F.50 mould);
- a Douglas DC-4 leased by an european airline from Western Airlines (USA)....... for charter flights in Europe for USAF staff.....
