I am curious why Lufthansa has a different type of First Class seat installed on its refitted 744s. These have a bed separate from the seat. I am curious why LH had this "transitional" type installed. They could have just retained the old ones if the 744s were being retired, or retrofitted them with the new ones that are on the A380/ 748 like what they are now doing to the rest of the intercontinental fleet. Anyone know why?
